Who are we and what is tipee go for?

tipee SA, located at Avenue de Sévelin 32, CH-1004 Lausanne (hereafter "we"), is the developer of the tipee app and its mobile extension tipee go.

tipee is a time management application and an HR portal. Before downloading tipee go, please ensure that your employer has an active tipee account.

The mobile application tipee go aims to facilitate the entry of your working time.

Nature and scope of personal data collection

Login Data

No new identifier is needed to use tipee go. Simply scan the QR code available in the My Settings section of the tipee web application to link tipee go to your account. Thus, we only collect information related to the logging of your accesses.

Usage Data

We process the data you enter when using tipee go, namely the start and end times of your work. This data is transferred to tipee and is not stored on your mobile phone as long as it is connected to a data transmission network.

For example: In offline mode, the data is stored on the device and transmitted to tipee as soon as the connection is restored.

Location Data

The collection of location data depends on two parameters:

  1. Whether you and your employer have agreed to activate the location feature in your tipee account settings.

  2. Whether your employer uses beacons as time clocks at your workplace.

First case: GPS Geolocation

The tipee go app will ask you to activate your mobile phone's GPS geolocation feature to locate your position each time you enter time (and only in that case). This information will supplement your entry and will be visible for a limited duration in the tipee app.

Second case: Beacons

To use beacons, you need to activate the Bluetooth on your mobile phone. Detection of nearby beacons is only active when you are using the app. The behavior varies depending on whether you are using an Android or iOS smartphone.

Purposes of processing and legal bases

We use the personal data collected primarily to execute the contract that binds us to your employer, who as a client is the data controller.

Furthermore, to the extent it is permitted and we deem it appropriate, we process your personal data for which we have a legitimate interest in the protection of our business, particularly our IT infrastructure, websites, and software applications.

Data sharing with third parties

We never share your personal data with third parties.

What are your rights?

You have fundamental rights concerning data protection. To exercise them, you must contact your employer, who is responsible for their processing under the contract signed with us.

Modifications

We may revise and adapt this privacy policy at any time without notice. The currently published version on our website is definitive. Insofar as this policy forms part of a contract concluded with your employer, we will inform them of any updates by email, via the tipee app, or by any other suitable means.
