The release at a glance

To end this month in style, tipee introduces 3 new features that promise to make your life easier!

  1. Creation and planning of schedules

  2. Management of paid breaks

  3. Schedule with more than 2 time ranges

Creation and planning of schedules

The creation and planning of schedules has been reviewed for simpler and more effective use. The new design is crafted for you to easily find the different elements.

The new schedule creation window is divided into 3 sections for easier use:

  • Information

  • Time ranges

  • Options

The informations related to the schedule (schedule type, name, description, and color) are located at the top of the window.

The time ranges come second in this window. Good news, you can now define more than 2 time ranges in a schedule. The options related to the time ranges are found behind the pencil icon. Here you will find autocorrections for the time range and another novelty: the management of paid breaks.

The options related to the schedule are found at the bottom of the schedule creation window. Such as the schedule's validity period, the self-correction for (unpaid) breaks, and adjustments.

The planning window follows the same logic, consisting of 3 sections:

  • Schedule & Recurrence

  • Time ranges

  • Options

The Schedule and Recurrences section allows selecting the desired schedule, setting any recurrences, and noting remarks.

The time ranges section displays the time ranges of the selected schedule. It is possible to modify the time ranges and the options (autocorrection and paid break) directly from this window.

The schedule's options can be found at the bottom of the window and can be modified (self-correction for (unpaid) breaks and adjustment).

Discover here how to manage and create a schedule.

Management of Paid Breaks

You offer breaks to your teams (typically 15 minutes for coffee, for example) and you want to track the actual time taken? Perhaps you are already tracking breaks in tipee? This new feature will make your work easier.

From now on, track paid breaks in tipee in a blink of an eye. You can set the break time offered for the relevant time ranges.

Thus, your teams clock the break time, if it exceeds the offered time allocated, the non-offered minutes are deducted from the work time. This system guarantees fairness among your team members and a management of paid breaks effective and transparent.

Schedules with more than 2 time ranges

This new feature will be particularly appreciated by our clients in the field of afterschool programs and daycare centers. More than 2 time ranges can now be defined when creating a schedule.

For example, it is possible to create a single schedule containing the following 3 time ranges: from 6:30 to 8:45, from 11:30 to 14:30, and from 15:00 to 17:30.
